Features Overview

This year, I Will Graduate, supported #Youthcount through its youth council, MBSKYC!

Each year, New York City conducts a point-in-time (PIT) count of sheltered and unsheltered homeless adults, families, and youth based on the guidelines put forth by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)

Youth count has expanded to include more locations, greater outreach to community partners, and youth participation in the planning process!

We were excited and honored to engage in this work on the ground level! We want to help ensure services are available to all youth, especially those who are runaway and deal w/ unstable housing.

What is the My Brothers and Sisters Keeper Council (MBSK): The Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) in collaboration with the Young Men’s Initiative (YMI) and ENTERTAINERS FOR EDUCATION ALLIANCE, INC - I WILL GRADUATE (E4EA-IWG) is looking to create a platform for young people throughout NYC that amplifies Youth-Voice and Youth-Choice. Take The Pledge

DYCD’s citywide campaign, Not One More Shot, honors the role that young people, through their own decisions, can play in reducing gun violence.

Take the pledge to join DYCD's Not One More Shot campaign, in making my voice heard by taking action to end gun violence in my school and/or community. I believe that enough is enough and will no longer stand by silently while gun violence continues to threaten the safety of my peers and my neighborhood.

After School Programming

I WILL GRADUATE Program creates unique, fun engaging learning experiences beyond the school day, providing after-school programming for K-12 students in the City-wide. Our current program operates out of Bedford-Stuyvesant and is offered with the support of the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development.

Through daily small group and team enrichments, students explore new fields and learning spaces in the arts, STEAM, literacy, and athletics. Our students are members of competitive debate and performances, producing original theatrical and filmed work, and learning how to code, write, dance, and design. By providing FREE programs and services to K-12 participants, students are provided the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning and to work alongside professional makers and thinkers, we are helping to foster young leaders in our schools and community.
